SUMMARY:

Events permeated by faith are one of the main causes of human displacement in the world. Because they are events linked to a religious belief, they can be instruments for legitimizing hospitality in contemporary society, since it influences and even shapes the behavior of countless people. Christianity, in particular, for having the Bible as a guiding and guiding book, indicates hospitality, welcoming the other, not just foreigners, but the other in a condition of vulnerability, through several passages, as a practice and a condition for people. followers of Jesus Christ. In Catholicism, specifically, this hospitality is also a duty of its faithful, being through its events, one of the ways to bring them closer to this other. To this end, the Catholic Church, from the Second Vatican Council (1961-65), opened the doors for the lay faithful to assume ministerial functions, founding communities in order to help it in evangelization, as well as to get closer to the people, thus emerging the New Catholic Communities (NC). In this scenario, the Shalom Community is born, among many others around the world, as one of those that promote and hold events. Because it is a community present in several places around the globe, it is also effective in Natal/RN (Brazil), and they hold events, such as the Halleluya Natal Festival, object of this investigation, to connect this people, stimulating the productive chain of events, and, specifically, of the religious. In this way, the present study aims to analyze faith and hospitality in the production of experiences in events, specifying: to identify the agents involved with this type of  event, as well as getting to know them through their profiles and roles; to evaluate the main motivations that contribute to the decision-making of each agent to participate in this type of event, in order to understand if there are elements of hospitality that influence their experiences; and finally, also, to investigate how an event of this nature can boost the tourist flow. It is a case study supported by phenomenology, with descriptive and exploratory characteristics and a qualitative approach. Data collection will be carried out through bibliographic and documentary research, as well as through participant observation in the Shalom Community and in the Festival's organizing committee, in addition to interviews with attractions, outsourced suppliers and sponsors, focus groups with volunteer collaborators from the Community, and with the participants of the event, a virtual collection will be carried out in the domains of Shalom and the Festival. Data analysis takes place through the technique of content analysis from Spink (2010), creating Idea Association Maps and Narrative Lines. It is believed that faith influences hospitality in the construction of experiences of those involved with events. The momentary results show that from the object of study, it is possible to identify the elements that can compose these types of events so that the organizers can produce significant experiences during the production of the festival, so that its participants can experience it. so that it stays on record and becomes memorable experiences.
