SUMMARY:

The aim of this study was to analyze the existing interrelationships between antecedents capable of influencing the entrepreneurial intention of higher education students in Tourism. Therefore, a structural model was proposed that integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP) and the constructs Institutional Environment, Entrepreneurial Learning, Family Experience and Macroenvironment. The research is characterized as exploratory-descriptive with a mixed, quantitative and qualitative approach. The study population were students of higher education courses in tourism from public institutions, including universities and institutes. The sample consisted of 470 students from bachelor's degrees in tourism and technology in tourism management. Data collection was performed through questionnaires applied online. In addition to applying the questionnaires, an analysis of the pedagogical projects of the courses that participated in the research was carried out, using the technique of content analysis. From this analysis, it was identified that most courses offer the discipline of entrepreneurship as mandatory or optional, and the most cited words in their menus were business plan, opportunities, tourism, entrepreneurial characteristics, concepts and entrepreneurial process. Through contact with the coordinators, it was possible to obtain information that most of the courses have a junior company. These analyzed aspects are considered as an incentive to the entrepreneurial education of tourism students. To analyze the data collected by the questionnaires, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Structural Equation Modeling were performed, in two steps: analysis of the measurement model (Confirmatory Factor Analysis – CFA) and analysis of the structural model. The results obtained indicate a strong correlation between attitude and entrepreneurial learning, and a moderate correlation between perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurial learning. There were strong correlations between attitude and entrepreneurial learning with the entrepreneurial intention of the interviewees. The results of this study indicate the need for greater attention in choosing strategies to encourage entrepreneurship, as entrepreneurial training not only benefits the training of tourism students to open a business, but also encourages students to develop their skills through learning collaborative, emphasizing innovation, creativity and networking.
