Caring for people and the environment is a fundamental principle in communities where the model of solidary and ecological life has significance for the contribution of sustainable development. Allied to tourism, these communities have the potential to favor the generation of employment, income and appreciation of local culture through responsible consumption. Thus, this study aims to understand the perspective of tourism in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN) in ecovillages. The specific objectives are: a) to gather information about work and economic growth of tourism in ecovillages; b) analyze responsible production and consumption practices; e c) and identify marine life protection practices and actions. This research will be carried out through a multiple case study with three ecovillages located in Vale do Capão – Chapada da Diamantina (BA); in the municipality of São Carlos (SP) and in Nísia Floresta (RN). The research is characterized as an exploratory interpretive epistemological study, with a qualitative approach, with application of semi-structured interviews and analyze research for data collection. Thus, representatives of these ecovillages and visitors will be interviewed through a virtual environment. To achieve the research results, content analysis will be carried out as a data treatment technique from analysis categories, in order to elucidate how ecovillages address the focus of tourism in the SDGs as a stimulus for sustainable development.
