RESUMO:

Contemporary tourism is leveraged from the conquest of the free time and the possibility of increased leisure time and new formats of this play, which is structured in new times, in other needs and demand a new look. Thus, leisure and tourism have always been intertwined, sometimes leisure as motivator of tourism, now tourism as objective end of town. The conceptual development efforts on tourism, using in many cases, the leisure as a key element, but contemporary leisure overlaps, absorbs, counteracts and overcomes the senses hitherto given to him. So the main question that aims to answer is: What new meanings attributed to tourism from the analysis of its conceptual transformations in the context of the complexity of contemporary leisure? To answer this question, it has the general objective to analyze tourism from the analysis of the conceptual tourism changes the light from the perspective of the complexity of contemporary leisure. For it will be necessary to explain the concept of free time bases, leisure and tourism and its contemporary relationships, discerning the classic concepts of tourism, the key elements for building a contemporary concept of tourism as well as demonstrate how the concepts of leisure and tourism are expressed in spontaneous demonstrations of its practitioners. As the main hypothesis has been that tourism is a specific form of leisure, which differs from the others by the travel component and which results in a tourist experience from the process of rooting and uprooting of people and their practices. The research is qualitative basis and use the technical content analysis. In support of theory use the complex perspective, because it is understood that this is by means of the principles that best contextualize the contemporary leisure. The main results expected from the development of the thesis has been that tourism understood as a specific form of pleasure, brings new meaning to activity, as it recognizes new elements that alter not only the scientific understanding related to tourism, but also brings implications to the superstructure, infrastructure, the supply and demand relationship and the tourist practices in general.
