SUMMARY:

Regulation plays an important role in responding to public health emergencies. Within pediatric and neonatal health, the maternal and child network organizes this flow of care in services. In the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), the “Regula RN” regulation system was created, which proposed a strategy to reduce the waiting time for vacancies in clinical beds and intensive care units. In this way, evaluating the variables contained therein and mapping this network to understand the benefits and weaknesses, can provide the population with information about the health situation of children, improving public policies, strengthening health promotion and prevention actions. Objective: To map the pediatric and neonatal regulation network in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive and retrospective research, based on secondary data collected directly and systematically from computerized databases, made available by the Regula RN system, with the aim of mapping the pediatric regulation network and neonatal. Expected results: It is expected to carry out an in-depth analysis of the causes of pediatric and neonatal hospitalizations, list needs in each health region and assess the outcomes of the cases treated.
