EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL OFFER OF MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES IN THE 5TH HEALTH REGION OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTE STATE

Brazil is a signatory to global pacts for the qualification of maternal and child care in its territory. However, being a country of continental dimensions and of profound social inequality, there are many challenges imposed in the organization of care compatible with the health needs of this group, especially in the northeast region, where one of the largest territorial regions of the country and of considerable size is concentrated. socioeconomic inequality, access to information is shown to be one of the main difficulties in qualifying maternal and child health. With this, the present study seeks to evaluate the organizational structure and the service offering potential of the Maternal and Child Care Network in the V health region of the State of Rio Grande do Norte based on the equipment and services available in the Unified Health System (SUS), through an evaluative study with analysis of the potential offer of maternal and child health services in the V health region, in the period from 2017 to 2021. Based on this research, it is expected to contribute to the improvement of actions to support, promote and protect maternal and child care, map the Maternal and Child Care Network in the V health region of the state, stratifying the potential for offering services aimed at this public, through observation of the behavior of the Maternal and Child Network indicators.
