Permanent health education through distance education for professionals working in primary care.
Primary Health Care. Permanent Education. Distance Education.
The Family Health Continuing Education Program (PEP-SUS) is a health training strategy for professionals working in the Family Health Strategy. It results from the partnership between the Ministry of Health and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte as a strategy to support and strengthen Primary Health Care, using technological tools of Distance Education offered through the Virtual Learning Environment of the Unified Health System (AVASUS). The improvement of learning resources for permanent and online education is a challenge nowadays. Thus, this research is part of a larger study entitled: In-service training and qualification of the health system in Brazil and aims to evaluate distance learning within the context of Permanent Education from the Permanent Education Program in Family Health. This is a case study with a qualitative approach using online questionnaires on the Platform as instruments. It is expected that this study will contribute to improvements in the process of permanent online education and improvement of the care provided in Primary Health Care.
