THE OFFSHORE OUTSOURCE WORKER AND ITS CONDITIONS AND WORK RELATIONS

The changes in the modern world are occurring in an accelerated way and directly affect human life in all contexts, and with it give rise to several demands in society, among them those of work. Work in the offshore oil industry is designed by adverse conditions, namely: danger, complexity, continuous character and collective dimension. This segment of work has a large part of outsourced labor, which is characterized by multiple forms of precarious work. Given this conjuncture the present study aims to analyze the collective memories present in narratives of outsourced offshore workers on their conditions and work organizations. It is a project with a qualitative approach, to be developed in Paracuru, municipality of the state of Ceará. The sample will be composed of 15 mid-level professionals from a service outsourcing company in the offshore oil sector. To collect data will be used the interview, using the oral history thematic, addressed by Meihy. This is a collection technique and method. However, to complement the analysis of the data will also be used the method of Dialectical Historical Materialism proposed by Karl Marx. It is hoped that the results of this research may help subcontractors to the offshore oil extraction sector to visualize what conditions it offers to its employees, as well as to promote and stimulate debate about the area under study.
