SUMMARY:

The present work seeks to discuss, in Youth and Adult Education, the importance of the transition from the geocentric to the heliocentric model, since this transition is surrounded by social, historical, cultural and scientific events that culminated in the triggering of a new way of relating with the investigation with nature and with the production of knowledge in Western thought. In this way, a research was carried out with the purpose of knowing the current academic production aimed at this audience. The result was the verification of gaps due to the lack of materials that integrate science, especially Astronomy, with EJA. Thus, a work proposal was elaborated that involves the theater-forum, which is inspired by Freire's pedagogy of the oppressed and the choice of a seventeenth century literary work that portrayed a moment of the cultural and scientific scene of French society during the period of transition between the visions of the Universe and even of the human being himself. The activities could not be put into practice due to the Coronavirus-19 pandemic, which had social distancing as a preventive health measure, resulting in the suspension of classes in person from March 2020 to August 2021.
