CORDEL LITERATURE AND THE TEACHING OF GEOGRAPHY: A PROPOSAL FOR A DIDACTIC GUIDE, FROM THE MODEL OF A DIDACTIC SEQUENCE.
Keywords: Cordel Literature; Geography Teaching; Teaching Guide; Place; Caicó.
This research focused on the relationship between Cordel's Literature and the teaching-learning process in Geography. In the current context of information and communication technologies, Cordel presents itself as a form of knowledge that enables and expands ways to understand the contents of Geography. Considering this observation, we draw attention to the central question in this paper: to what extent does the use of Cordel lead to the understanding of the concept of place in Geography teaching? Based on this guiding question and on the didactic sequence model, the main objective is to produce a didactic guide that provides Cordel as a literary genre for teaching Geography. Concerning theoretical foundations, we did a literature review on the guiding concepts of Cordel Literature and place. The methodological procedures used were based mainly on proposing a teaching guide that uses the Cordel as a way of teaching and learning Geography. To this end, we followed three stages: 1. literature review and documentary research; 2. preparation of the teaching guide; 3. application of the guide. In terms of results, we present the first part of the technical report, starting with the introduction, the theoretical basis, and the methodology. We also present the proposal for a teaching guide entitled Cordel Literature and the Teaching of Geography: a proposal for a teaching guide.
