RESUMO:

This paper presents the proposal for the masters qualification topics on the problem of defining metrics to be used to determine similarity between clouds of points representing restricted deformable objects acquired by devices of the RGBD type, for example. The main theoretical concepts that will allow to delineate the project of this work are described, considering indispensable the inclusion of metrics that determine distances between points and a description of the methods used in the literature to estimate similarity when the objects are represented by spatial structure representing the form. The main contribution is the development of methods that will allow to apply these metrics in problems where it is necessary to determine similarity between objects represented by clouds of points. An example is the determination of the pose of a person aiming to correct its posture in order to avoid postural problems in ergometry. We show the feasibility with an initial implementation where we try to determine the similarity between two point clouds by registering with the Iterative Point Cloud (ICP) algorithm using the Point Cloud Library (PCL). The tests and the partial results are obtained using a sample space with ten different point clouds, compared to an ideal pose of a person that shows such possibility
