The Decentralized Execution Term (TED) is an instrument for decentralizing budgetary creditbetween federal agencies for the purpose of executing programs and projects. At the FederalUniversity of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), it is an important source of funding for academicprojects and, above all, for delivering value to society. This is why it is necessary to execute theseresources properly. This became even more evident with the enactment of Decree No. 10,426/2020,which introduced requirements to be followed in execution, especially in the accountability stage, with compliance with the legal deadlines for submitting accounts, which is essential for attractingnew projects. This work seeks to answer the following question: can Kanban, as an agile projectmanagement method, support the management of the accountability stage so that UFRN can get thelegal deadlines? The aim of this study is to build an artifact based on the Kanban Method, to beapplied in the management of the accountability stage of the Coordination of Administration ofAgreements/Pro-Rectory of Administration/UFRN. The research will adopt a strategy guided by theDesign Science Research (DSR) method, following the cycles of relevance, rigor and design. Bycarrying out the work, it is hoped to identify problems and opportunities in the execution of TEDs,which can serve as a basis for building an artifact based on Kanban. It is also hoped to verify theexistence of agile values during the development and execution of the artifact. Finally, anevaluation of the artifact based on the perception of those involved in the implementation phase.
