Abstract: The complete tooth loss is characterized by complete loss of permanent teeth, resulting in aesthetic, structural and functional changes may negatively impact quality of life, and minimized through rehabilitation with dental prosthesis. Objective: To compare the quality of life related to oral health before and after the making of the new full removable prosthesis bimaxillary. Method: 20 volunteers aged between 50 and 92 years, of both sexes. To evaluate the quality of life we used the Brazilian version of the Oral Helth Impact Profile for edentulous patients (OHIP-Edent). Data analysis was descriptive and analytical way, through the nonparametric test - Wilcoxon test, with 5% significance level. Results: The results enable us to show greater occurrence female 18 (90%) of what male 2 (10%). Regarding the domains of the OHIP-Edent, we find no significant differences in this study for pain and discomfort orofacial (p ≤ 0.053), discomfort and masticatory disability (p ≤ 0.189), discomfort and psychological disability (p ≤ 0.058) and social disability (p ≤ 0.102). Conclusion: Considering the results did not observe improvement in the quality of life of patients after three months of installation of the new full bimaxillary prosthesis. Highlights the importance of this study to assess relevant aspects of oral health-related quality of life in all removable dental prosthesis.
