The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of Ceará’s Multiprofessional Health Residencies (RMS) in the trajectory of academic psychologists who participated in the program. Despite the lack of studies on RMS joiners, it is possible to identify that a significant percentage of these professionals has taken an interest in academia. A qualitative study was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 17 graduates with teaching experience. Analysis of the thematic content has lead to the creation of the following axes: professional trajectory, psychologist training for SUS and teaching practices. The results show that RMS was a first experience in work as well as in teaching within a context of learning about the practice as a psychologist and taking further steps into higher education. In the training psychologists for SUS, RMS has proved itself to be a powerful learning space, both in its pedagogical-instrumental dimension (direct action) and in subjective modes. The experience with RMS gave "materiality" to the teaching work, favored the adoption of a questioning stance and instrumented, through tools such as working with groups, the use of active methodologies and participatory evaluation. This work comes to the conclusion that the political and pedagogical proposal of RMS marks teaching trajectories; however, working with this perspective in the daily life of educational institutions is a challenge for psychologists.
