RESUMO:

This work aims to investigate the Rede Juventude Viva do RN (RJV RN)’s acting in confrontation of youth extermination, more specifically: describe that composition, objectives and proposed strategies to youth people confrontation; describe actions effectively developed and articulated by the Rede to this reality; identify and discuss limits and possibilities in Rede’s acting. Guarded the ethical cares, was used participant observation, field diaries, semi-structured interviews and document analysis for this study - in wich eight members of RJV RN participated - in observations of meetings and interventions, as well in the interviews. The obtained results were submitted to thematic content analysis. The RJV RN arise inspired by Plano Juventude Viva (PJV), during national and local mobilizations, groups and events about the young people rights, presenting a dual identity, using resources by small contributions and thinking interventions for all the state. Integrated initiatives by/to/with youths and realized a lot of actions, from political incidence for the PJV adherence and implementation, to training involving young people in this communities. It was considered to be a national model in confrontation of youth extermination. Recently has undergone a process of demobilisation and stripping, stagnating the activities up to the present, because of transformations in national political situation and internal organization factors. However, present possibilities, from this restructuring, resumption of partners contacts, return of meetings and activities, to alignment between extermination agenda and the several other agendas and emerging mobilizations in national scene since its creation etc.
