RESUMO:

The initial tillage of soil contributes to improvement of environments that suffer degradation processes, cooperating to maintain soil quality and the environment. However, research in utilization of key nutrients' plants is important, it makes production of forest species more cost effective. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the growth, production and distribution of biomass of three forest species: Acacia (Acacia mangium Willd.), neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) and sabia (Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia Benth.), 12, 24, 36 and 48 months age, in response to the cultivation method. The experimental design was randomized block factorial (2x3), corresponding to six treatments distributed in parcels subdivided into groups with four blocks, the main factor was two farming methods (less intensive - A and more intensive - B) and the secondary factor was the three forest species, with four replications, totaling 24 treatments. All treatments were applied NPK. In the treatments with crop B was used cattle manure, super triple distributed on ridges and limestone. The growth was obtained by measuring height and diameter. For quantification of biomass of the shoot was shot down a surround the tree of each plot with average height and diameter. It was obtained biomass using all tree's components. In all the variables were no significant differences in the species and the types of crop influenced differently on growth and biomass production. The B cultivation method had a greater influence on growth, production and amount of biomass between the three species studied.
