Physiological quality of Moringa oleifera Lam. seed using an image system 

The aim of this study was to verify the efficiency of Seedlings Analysis System (SAPL) in detecting vigor differences between lots of moringa seeds compared to the information provided by existing tests traditionally used. Therefore, it was determined the water content of the seeds and their physiological quality by the germination test, first count, germination speed index, emergency, emergency speed index, traditional accelerated aging, accelerated aging with saline and using the SAPL. The design was completely randomized with four replications. The parameters obtained in the computerized analysis (shoot length, primary root length, total length of seedling, growth rate, uniformity index and vigor index) as the SAPL software were efficient to differentiate seed lots compared to tests traditionally used, not only between batches of low and high vigor, but also for those of intermediate quality.
