SUMMARY:

Hypertension presents a low control rate in Brazil and worldwide, leading to medical and social costs, requiring control strategies. The aim of this study was to develop and validate a monitoring booklet for people with hypertension for primary care users. This is a methodological research focused on content validation using the Delphi method, following the 12 criteria proposed by Pasquali. The evaluation of the hypertension monitoring booklet by experts will be conducted in phases using a structured instrument in the form of an electronic form created with the free tool Google Forms. Response options will follow a Likert scale, ranging from inadequate to fully adequate, with a grading from 1 to 5. The analysis will be performed using the Likert Scale, agreement percentage, and the Content Validation Coefficient (CVC). The empirical procedures will also include the collective construction of the hypertension monitoring booklet through a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), conducted by a workshop with hypertensive users served by the Nazaré Basic Health Unit, to validate the visual aspects and content comprehension of the booklet. Therefore, the hypertension monitoring booklet for primary care users allows for a more expressive and systematic follow-up of hypertensive individuals, serving as a guide for blood pressure monitoring, fostering dialogue between the professional, the patient, and the effective recording of blood pressure.
