Usability of audiovisual as an educational resource in counseling rapid pre-test for sexually transmitted infections in primary care health

Introduction: Sexually transmitted infections are increasing exponential with around one million new cases a day in the world, among them are the HIV, syphilis, and human viral hepatitis. Early diagnosis is an important tool for individual and collective health, since 2012 primary care services for health services provide rapid tests that help with early diagnosis, as they do not require laboratory structure and have results in up to 30 minutes, however their insertion into the service involves weaknesses, including pre-test counseling. To the health educational technologies are tools that can help both professionals and users in this moment of health education, thus, the following question: Could rapid pre-test counseling be improved by using of an audiovisual resource? Objective: Validate an audiovisual item as a resource educational in pre-test counseling. Methodology: This is a methodological type of research with a quantitative and action research approach, to be carried out in the primary health care units in the city of Natal/RN. To validate the material, data collection will occur with a validated instrument and the sample will consist of health professionals, testing service users and expert judges. The study will provide the reformulation of an updated and validated audiovisual resource scientifically. This is an innovative model for the qualification of healthcare services. testing and strengthening evidence-based public policies, thus creating strategies for improving pre-test counseling carried out in healthcare services health, in addition, the educational material can be used for health education in educational institutions, professional training and the population in general, promoting popularization and scientific dissemination actions for different types of audiences.
