SUMMARY:

This work aims to present, in an introductory way, the concept of Arithmetic of Remainders
or Modular Arithmetic, highlighting the importance of this area in our daily lives. To do this,
we will show some fundamental concepts that underlie this area. Moreover, we pass through
the historical part highlighting the main civilizations and mathematicians who contributed to
this area. We will show how the arithmetic of remainders appears in our lives in various
applications, and we will finish this work with games that use and are based on the arithmetic
of remainders and can be used in the basic education.
