RESUMO:

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) have a fundamental role in the Brazilian economy to generate jobs and income for the economically active population in a sustainable manner as well as leverage the economy. This research proposes a previous analysis on the population of MPEs by period, cohort and cohort-period with respect to the constitution (birth), life expectancy and extinction (death) in the period 2002 to 2016 in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. It is notable that there is a relationship between the demographic transition and the growth of MSEs influenced by the effects of the demographic bonus experienced by the country. It is important to emphasize that the extinction of these companies has a significant impact on the economy and especially on the population, due to the various activities that cease when companies are extinguished. For this reason, this study aims to analyze the life expectancy of MSEs in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in the business market, in which birth, survival and mortality rates will be presented with data collected at the Rio Grande do Sul State Board of Trade. North, through the non-parametric model. The main objective of this research will be the elaboration of life tables by cohort for analysis of MSEs with specific variables of size, activity, type of company and municipality. With regard to the transfer (migration) the analysis will not be possible since the available data are not sufficient.
