RESUMO:

Among the various factors influencing the positioning through artificial satellites or GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), we highlight the error caused by the Tropospheric Zenith Delay, which is basically composed by a hydrostatic component (ZHD - Zenithal Hidrostatic Delay), influenced predominantly by nitrogen and oxygen, and the second one, a wet (ZWD - Zenithal Wet Delay), which is influenced by the presence of water vapor in the Troposphere. Both components can be estimated from observations of GNSS signals collected from ground-based receiving stations. The wet component has a strong relationship with the IWV (Integrated Water Vapor) which in turn is directly influenced by the amount of precipitated water vapor in the troposphere. This work aims to develop a graphical interface program with main focus on the generation of IWV databases obtained through radiofrequency signals from any GNSS receiving station, and to relate them to oceanic and meteorological variables. The software PROCEOS (Program for the Characterization of Atmospheric Oceanic Events), has as a differential when compared to other softwares: (a) it is structurally  friendly with ease of use in relation to software of the genre; (b) It has a multitasking structure, also allowing the user to perform reanalysis data manipulations of weather and climate centers, such as the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and the OAFLUX (Objectively Analyzed Air-Sea for Global Oceans ), as well as spatial and temporal distributions of the variables - maps and time series – in addition to filtering and perform statistical treatments of the results obtained, such as imputations and correlations of variables. Furthermore, the software allows to extrapolation the variables wind and evaporation on the ocean surface, in levels of atmospheric pressure. The software has been tested to predict rainfall using data from GNSS-RNNA and Meteorological Natal-A304 ground-based stations, both located at the UFRN Central Campus in Natal city, Brazil.  PROCEOS has produced excellent results when related to other software of the genre.  It also presents itself as an alternative and promising tool for nowcasting predictions, since its results are used as input data for weather forecasting models.
