SUMMARY: The main objective of this thesis is the integration of the local economy for the development of tourism in the Tourist Territory of the Municipality of Inhambane (TTMI), from the perspective of the solidarity economy movement. The method applied is the dialectic in the relationship between tourism and development, solidarity economy and participatory planning, combined with the hypothetical deductive. As for the methodology, the research will obey 3 main phases, in the first phase of research planning, the choice of theme was made, elaboration of the research problem, collection of information for theoretical support and the elaboration of data collection instruments, in The second phase, the constructive one, will be developed in the study area, where the data collection instruments will be applied, and the questionnaire guide directed to tourist accommodation establishments and interview guide for fishermen farmers, artisans, small traders and makers of the brick extractive industry, as main groups of the local economy; interview script will also be applied to the local communities from the community leaders; private sector from the Inhambane Provincial Hotel and Tourism Association; public sector from the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism of Inhambane; and non-participant and systematic/structured observation grid. The last phase is the writing phase, which will consist of the analysis of information, systematization of ideas, writing of the report and conclusion. It is hoped that the results of this research will be important for the government, agents of the local economy and the private sector, in the creation of policies and strategies for the integrated development of the TTMI and the implementation of shared resource management practices, in order to guarantee the improving the quality of life of local communities.
