PROCEDURES FOR USING ROBOTICS TO IMPROVE HOTEL SERVICES IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

This study presents research that will seek to understand how robotics impacts the hotel industry, by conducting a study based on the services offered in the city of Natal-RN. Therefore, given its relevance – for providing the convenience of presenting a detailed and scientific knowledge about the quality of services – and the need for improvement in the services of the hotel sector. The objective of the research is to develop procedures for the use of robotics to improve hotel services, with emphasis on strict criteria to combat pandemics. The idea is that the future use of robotics can ease the spread of the pandemic among users and tourists, as well as enable an improvement in hotel services. The study is qualitative research with guests and professionals in the hotel trade, where data will be collected through individual interviews and focus groups. In the data collection, the theme will be explained in a summarized form through videos and images. An examination of the themes will subsequently be carried out using NVIVO software for systematic content analysis. And, at the end, the results of the thematic data analysis will be discussed and evaluated, along with the limitations and future research on the use of robots in hotels.
