SUMMARY:

A safeguard of nature dates back to the times of pre-agrarian societies. Meanwhile, the way it is visualized in XXI century é originated from transformações da modernidade. A contemporary question about the theme brings with it the transition from the preservationist paradigm to the conservationist. This implies a lack of understanding of nature in the perspective of the totality of worldviews, or that is, the whole integrated between home and nature. Understanding it as an element of modern productive rationality that uses protected natural spaces to promote the experiences of subjects who lack re-signification, especially with regard to the premises of this research. Thus, the objective of the study is to analyze the process of planning and management of tourist practices in the Indigenous Territory Eleotérios do Catu/RN.It is, therefore, the qualitative approach through interpretive hermeneutics, as well as the procedural constructivist action anchored in a comprehensive language from the epistemologies of the South, whose analysis will draw on the discursive social practice from the Foucaultian logic of governmentality. As research surveyed participant of research the study admit of the CGAPAPU representations, leaders of the Catú Community and practitioners of tourist pratices. Finally, it is important to highlight the importance of study of understanding the dynamics of tourist practices in spaces occupied by traditional communities, contributing to the process of planning and management of tourism as well public as private sphere, promoting, even, an expansion of the narrative repertoire above or field.
