RESUMO:

The growth and development of establishments classified as hostels has boosted competition in the hosting industry. Having knowledge about the behavioral changes and the factors that influence the decisions of buyers of tourism products and services, it is important to generate competitive advantage. Considering consumer behavior study of complexity and the factors that influence the choice decisions. It is worth mentioning the importance of identifying the values of consumers is they intrinsic or extrinsic, therefore, this research aims to analyze the motivations of the regulars of hostels in Latin America. It presents trends in hostels as lodging facilities because of the increased tourist demand with a focus on experiences. To achieve the proposed goal, was made a map of the amount of existing hostels in the main cities of Latin American countries, from hostelsworld.com platform, the research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, with qualitative and quantitative approach, questionnaires will be applied with the managers of the selected establishments. multivariate statistical analysis technique of correlation type as factor analysis is used.
