Validation of educational technology for self-care in the prevention and treatment of nipple-areolar lesions in breastfeeding women.
Nipple trauma; Primary prevention; Therapeutics; Self-care; Nursing.
Nipple-areolar lesions (NARS) are characterized by the presence of alterations in the skin of the nipple, and manifest themselves in various ways (such as cracks, fissures, abrasions, ulcers, etc.), which can cause the interruption of breastfeeding. Therefore, creating educational materials with simple and accessible language that prevent this event is of the utmost importance. The aim is therefore to validate an educational technology for self-care in the prevention and treatment of nipple-areolar lesions in breastfeeding women. The study will take place in two stages: 1) the content of the booklet (Chagas, 2023) and the layout of the educational technology will be developed with the support of the Distance Education Department - SEDIS/UFRN. 2) the educational technology will be validated by nurse judges specializing in the area and by the target audience (breastfeeding women). After this process, the final version of the booklet will be produced and distributed in printed and digital form.
