In the context of HIV, the experience of serodifferentia, characterized by affective-sexual
relationships in which one partner lives with the virus and the other does not, is a relatively
new topic for most health professionals, especially those working in Primary Health Care. In
this sense, the infographic Acol≠IV: I care is an educational technology, designed with the
participation of Primary Health Care nurses, with its respective operational guide, as
strategies for Continuing Education in Health. The objective of this study is to develop and
validate an infographic and its operational guide to support nurses in managing the health care
of HIV-serodifferent partners in Primary Health Care. This is a methodological study with
participatory development, which used Paulo Freire's theoretical assumptions as a reference
and the methodological stages of Contextualized Instructional Design (DIC). Stage 1
(Analysis): included an integrative literature review to identify the care that is the
responsibility of nurses in the care of HIV serodifferent partners; documentary analysis of
publications on the Ministry of Health website; and a qualitative action research study with 13
Primary Health Care nurses, with the aim of promoting the participatory and collective
development of the content of the technologies and their final format. Stage 2 (Design and
Development) involved structuring the technologies for the infographic and guide format,
with the help of a team of developers. Stage 3 (Implementation): validation of usability with
the target audience and provision of the tools on the internet (future stage). Stage 4
(Evaluation): validation of content and appearance by nurse judges with expertise in the area,
in two rounds using the Delphi technique, where a Content Validity Index greater than 0.8
was used as a parameter. The research took place from November 2022 to January 2025 and
was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do
Norte under number 6,023,762. The content of the tools was structured into four thematic
axes: offering preventive strategies; considering the reproductive desire of partners; paying
attention to mental health; and nursing consultation as an ally, in infographic and guide
formats. Acol≠IV: eu cuido was built in a static format using textual resources and
illustrations related to the theme. The operational guide was structured in 20 pages that
included a cover, presentation, summary, four thematic axes with their details and references.
After two Delphi rounds the overall content and appearance validity index for the infographic
was 1.0 and for the operational guide 0.99. . Microsoft Excel and SPSS 20.0 software were
used to tabulate data, calculate indexes, and perform descriptive statistical analysis of
participant characterization. Thematic content analysis was used in stage 1. The infographic
and operational guide were considered valid in their content and appearance by the judges. It
is believed that these tools can provide theoretical support to support and substantiate nursing
care practices in the demands of HIV serodiscordance, in addition to enriching the literature
on the phenomenon.
