The absurd to be human in the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer
Schopenhauer; Will; Wanting; Existence; Absurd.
In order to situate Schopenhauer's philosophy based on the hegemony of the will over the beings, this research aims to show how human existence can be considered as absurd, based on conflicts and struggles motivated by the wanting in pursue of endless satisfactions. To this end, we divide the research into four chapters: the first three chapters contemplates the main concepts and understandings that underlie the condition of man as a volitional being and submitted to the irrational force of the will exposed in the World as Will and Representation and the last chapter consists of the analysis of human existence as absurd, based on Clément Rosset's interpretation of the absurd in Schopenhauer, philosophe de l'absurde.
