This research investigates the Wollstonecraft’s Dilemma, created by Carole Pateman from her observations between the claims of a citizenship for equality and a citizenship of difference by the feminist movement, starting from the claims of Mary Wollstonecraft, still in the eighteenth century. And from Pateman’s discussion of citizenship and the social condition of women, we will see how Chantal Mouffe presentes the proposal for the construction os a pluralistic agonistic citizenship, which intents to be the basis of a Radical Democracy and solve the dilemma of the claim equality and recognition of difference.
