Historical Materialism, production mode, Ethics, Morality, Human Constitution.
This study aims to understand the scope of ethical reflection in Marxian theory that reflects the norms and values of capitalist society from the analysis of the material conditions of life and social relations that make possible the critical apprehension of the prevailing values of the capitalist system, which includes the individualistic attitude, acquisitive behavior, greed, evil greed and competition responsible for motivating individuals in a selfish and self-serving behavior. In this sense, Marx proposes as a solution to the drawbacks generated by this form of social organization to overcome the capitalist mode of production raising ethical values in this direction. So, to conclude that ethics is a social construct is demonstrated in this study that the values and moral standards are by no means absolute, but variable in time and space given the material conditions of human existence and social structure that stands. Finally, it is contemplated a concept approach to ethics in the design of Marx following two different levels: descriptive and normative. That is, the first of ideological, which refers to an ethic forged by false consciousness of reality, and that the second part of the Marxian negation of values and norms of capitalist society, aiming to change this prevailing morality.
