Ranganathan's Laws, or The Five Laws of Library Science, are fundamental principles that should guide the informational policies of libraries, aiming to maximize access to and use of information. However, their applicability in contemporary library systems lacks sufficient study. In this sense, this research generally aims to audit the adoption of Ranganathan's Laws in the informational policies of the Library System of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. This is an exploratory and descriptive study with a predominantly qualitative approach, configured as a case study. The methodological procedures include a literature review, document analysis, participant observation, and the application of questionnaires and structured interviews to librarians within the System. To ensure robustness and validity of the results, data triangulation will be used, which will involve cross-referencing information obtained through different methods and sources, such as content analysis, descriptive statistics, and compliance analysis. As expected outcomes, the research intends to produce an audit report with specific recommendations for improving the informational policies of UFRN's Library System, contributing to the enhancement of services and advancing the debate on the application of Ranganathan's Laws in the context of Brazilian university libraries.
