INFORMATION BEHAVIOR OF STATE COURT OF JUSTICE SERVANTS IN THE USE OF THE NATIONAL ADOPTION AND FOSTER SYSTEM IN RIO GRANDE DO NORTE
Adoption; Children-Adolescents; National Adoption and Foster Care System; Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Norte.
Understanding individual behavior regarding the need, search, and use of information has been one of the recurring concerns of Information Science since its beginnings, which culminated in the proposition of a series of models and approaches. The present study aims to analyze the informational behavior of employees of the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Norte - TJRN in relation to the National Adoption and Foster Care System - SNA, identify the main challenges faced by employees when accessing, using, and sharing information through the platform, assess the training and support needs of employees, aiming to improve their informational skills and improve the use of the System and, finally, propose recommendations and strategies to improve the informational behavior of employees when using the System. The research in question is initially justified by its scientific relevance, considering that few or almost no studies address the impact of the SNA on the lives of children and adolescents who await for their fate to be decided based on the informational behavior of the employee authorized to use the platform. The methodology included bibliographic research in several databases and the application of sensitive questionnaires to employees of the Court of Justice, authorized to use the System, with questions that address the user profile, access and frequency of use, main difficulties encountered and level of satisfaction with the platform. Understanding how TJRN employees interact and behave in relation to the System is a very important factor to ensure that operations are carried out efficiently and that objectives are fully achieved. Studying the informational behavior of these employees in this context offers valuable knowledge about how the System is adopted, used and integrated into daily practices.
