RESUMO:

Cure fraction survival models (CFSM) represent a generalization of classical survival models that allow the occurrence of a fraction of individuals cured (or immune to the occurrence of the event) in the population studied. After  the fit of  a mode to a dataset it is important to validate the assumptions and, Residuals Analysis is an important technique for this purpose. Although Residuals Analysis is  widely used to assess the fit of usual survival models, there are few Residuals proposed  for survival data with fraction cure. Thus, this work aims to study a recent proposal of the literature to evaluate the overall fit in a parametric MSFC of the standard mixture type through Cox-Snell type residues (Scolas et al., 2018)) and to extend this residue proposal to a broader class of MSFC called the promotion time model.
