SUMMARY:

This work aims to investigate the production of biogas from sugarcane residues (vinasse, bagasse and pre-treated bagasse), comparing mono-digestion systems of each residue and co-digestion systems with sugarcane vinasse. This investigation was conducted by performing biomethane chemical potential tests, considering different substrate compositions. The data obtained was applied to kinetic models and compared with data reported in the literature.
