SUMMARY:

The growing search for humanized approaches in puerperal care has led to the introduction of ICPs in health services. For their application to be effective, health professionals need to be trained, which justifies the systematization of a structured educational offer. In the obstetric context, these practices have been shown to be effective in reducing pain and improving the postpartum recovery process. This study will present a framework that identifies the benefits and challenges of incorporating these techniques into puerperal care, with a focus on improving the patient experience and optimizing clinical outcomes. The methodology includes a detailed analysis of the impact of these practices in the hospital environment studied, highlighting the resources and training required for their effective implementation. Summing up the research in the search to systematize an educational offer for obstetrics professionals at a Maternal and Child Hospital in the Seridó Potiguar, the adoption of Integrative and Complementary Practices (ICPs) non-pharmacological methods in puerperal care.
