SUMMARY:

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic condition that develops during pregnancy and may or may not persist after delivery. Given this health condition, the care offered by the Unified Health System is specific, with the aim of reducing associated maternal and neonatal comorbidities. The specificity of care in these cases must be addressed from the training of professionals to the qualification of health workers, with dialogue between the areas of health and education being of fundamental importance in the face of this phenomenon. The perception of women who have experienced Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and the care strategies implemented in Primary Care during prenatal care constitute an important moment to understand what their needs are and how care processes should be offered. To this end, qualified listening to experiences makes it possible to support the objective of this research of developing pedagogical narratives that can guide the teaching-learning process of students and workers in the health area, promoting a formative and humanized approach to care. This is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine women who experienced pregnancy and were diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. The narratives were transcribed, textualized and transcreated based on the methodological inspiration of Thematic Oral History. Based on the transcribed narratives, pedagogical narratives were constructed with learning objectives based on the meaning of care for each of the women interviewed. The aim is to identify, based on the main challenges and particularities of these women's daily lives, elements that support training resources for the development of skills in health professionals involved in the care of pregnant women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus.
