This thesis studies the action orientation of planning problem situations by science teachers, based on dialectical contradictions, using as a basis the theoretical systems of P. Ya. Galperin and M. I. Majmutov. The research is justified by the need to improve the continuing education of teachers, promoting scientific literacy and the development of scientific thinking. The methodology adopted in the study was the monitoring of a training experience with science teachers carried out by Prof. Dr. Isauro Beltrán Núnez, aiming to study the guidance of action planning problem situations for science teaching. The data collected has already been organized for the analysis of the training experience, according to the specific objectives defined, in order to identify contributions to the planning of problem situations in science teaching, favoring the development of scientific thinking. The thesis argues that the formative experience, led by an experienced teacher trainer and based on the theoretical systems of P. Ya. Galperin and M. I. Majmutov, can contribute to the guidance of teachers in planning problem situations for teaching science in the school context.
