SUMMARY:

Imagination plays an important role in people's daily lives, being used in various situations, from explaining
directions to creating narratives. Within this context, games are widely explored as a form of entertainment
among friends, family, and also in digital media. Therefore, establishing a connection between imagination,
games, and education through methodological approaches to teaching and learning in contemporary
schools is crucial. Geography naturally integrates with these elements; however, many educators still prefer
traditional teaching methods focused on the transmission of knowledge rather than adopting creative
approaches that promote learning. In this sense, this work aims to develop the game "Geo Stories" as a
way to teach and learn geographical concepts through challenges and puzzles. Additionally, it intends to
examine the importance of using games with educational purposes in teaching Geography and explore how
the Theories of Meaningful Learning and Multiple Intelligences relate to the use of games as an educational
tool. In the development of this project, an initial literature review was conducted on the connection
between games and the teaching of Geography. Next, the theme of Globalization was chosen for the
creation of the cards. The third stage involved the development of a lesson plan to prepare students for the
game. Subsequently, lessons on Globalization were taught, and the game was applied. Finally, the fifth
stage will include a comprehensive evaluation of the entire learning process. So far, the lectures have been
conducted, and the cards are being finalized in the software for subsequent printing and application of the
game. It is expected that the game will become a valuable tool to facilitate the understanding of the specific
competencies and skills of geographical content, providing students with a moment of meaningful learning.
