GREEN INNOVATION AND ESG: ANALYZING SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE IN PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANIES IN BRAZIL.
Green Inovations; ESG; Financial Performance
The research aims to investigate how the relationship between Green Innovation and ESG scores impacts the financial performance of publicly traded Brazilian organizations. The study analyzes linear and quantile regressions for a sample of Brazilian companies trading on B3. The findings demonstrate that the disclosure of ESG information, Green Innovation, and the Environmental and Social pillars positively impact the company’s performance. The interaction between ESG disclosure and Green Innovation impacts the performance only for companies with low financial performance. The effect of ESG information disclosure on performance decreases as the performance quantiles increase. For Green Innovation, the results indicate that companies at intermediate performance levels would be the main beneficiaries of better results.
