DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF MULTI-RESIDUE METHOD IN CARBAMATES CHILLIES
Pesticides, Carbamates, Liquid Chromatography
It is well known that pesticides have brought huge benefits in terms of increased production and quality of agricultural products. However, the indiscriminate use of pesticides is a risk to human health, and food intake one of the main forms of exposure to these toxic substances. This work was developed and validated an analytical method for determining multiresidual 10 carbamates (aldicarb, aldicarb sulfoxide, aldicarb sulfone, carbaryl, carbofuran, 3-hydroxycarbofuran, methiocarb, methomyl, oxamyl and propoxur) in chillies market in the city of Natal / RN. The development of the method consists of manual Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) followed by analysis by High Performance Liquid Chromatography Efficiency (HPLC) coupled with a photodiode array detector in the UV-Visible region. And validation evaluated the sensitivity, linearity, precision, accuracy, detection limit, quantification limit and robustness. The analytical curves showed linearity between 1.0 and 5.0 mg L-1 for all carbamates, with correlation coefficients ranging between 0.8069 and 0.9976. The method also showed good precision with most standard deviation values below 20%.
