Partita Nordestina: a Luiz Gonzaga’s Collection of songs aprouch for solo violin

This work is an autoetnographic researchment about the set of pieces for solo violin called Partita Nordestina, composed between 2019 and 2020 by Gerson Geda, composer, interpreter and this text’s author, taking as basis the Luiz Gonzaga’s vocal repertoire. This process has as main objective investigate the genesis, technical and interpretative aspects, as well the cited set context. The materials analysed in this researchment process are the author’s memories about the pieces, its scores and notes, practicing, concert and recital registrations. The methodological procedure is based in three approaches suggested by López-Cano (2014): Descriptive, for report creative process; Analytical, for relate the reportment to the technical and interpretative aspects; and Critical, for explaining the work’s composing context and situate the aforementioned set of compositions in the violin’s literature. I hope this researchment encourage the creation and interpretation of Brazilian solo works for violin, as well offer material to the academic field with which the students can develop musical expertises.
