SUMMARY:

This work proposes the elaboration of an edition of the score of the work Variacoes Romanticas by the composer Oriano de Almeida using the methodology of critical edition.The work is based on two sources of information left by the composer himself, which are the manuscript of the work and its recording. The manuscript left by Oriano looks like a draft of the work, due to the problems contained in it and the difficulty of reading the piece. From this manuscript our objective is to prepare an edition that facilitates the understanding of the interpreter or musical scholar.
