Practice in musical workshops more education program: a study in two schools of municipal Natal Network/RN

The proposal for this work came from research conducted by the Group of Studies and Research in Music (GRUMUS) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) that the check as was the music education in public schools of Natal-RN It found that extracurricular musical practice was quite sharp. From the musical practices that have occurred in workshops More Education Program, which in speech managers meet what determined the Law 11,769 / 2008, aspects such as program management, pedagogical practice monitors and student learning through music lessons of workshops stood out as relevant items for research and were the main focus of this study. In this sense, reporting as music education occurred in the program and seek to place students, teachers and school in this context. As a research methodology I use multicases study, carried out in two of the city's Christmas schools network in order to answer the question: how music lessons that are taught in the More Education Program are in the school context? For this were used as data collection instruments, class observations, semi-structured interviews with the monitors and coordinators of the program and questionnaires with participants of the same students. For the theoretical foundation work with Cavaliere authors (2002; 2007; 2010), Moll (2010; 2012), Penna (2011; 2012; 2013; 2014), Moreira (2013), Peace (2012) among others, discuss pedagogical practice in comprehensive education, school full time and conceptions of music education workshops. The research is nearing completion.
