This work of completion of professional masters consists of an architectural proposal of modular housing with emphasis on constructive rationalization. This document is composed of a technical report and an architectural design. The objective of this work was to prepare a preliminary project for a multi-family building in Macaparana-PE, with emphasis on constructive rationalization, from the application of some design strategies in its design process, in order to reduce the waste of materials in construction and decrease the execution time of the work. In order to achieve this objective, the proposal was based on technical and constructive criteria that pointed to the possibility of adopting the modular coordination system as a tool for integration between the architectural design and the construction during the entire design process. The methodological procedures described the development and evolution of the proposal through graphic representations of sketches and diagrams, whose premises explored the formal aspects, adopt a standard module and identify the construction system best suited to the technical limitations of the local workforce, together with economic viability. Given this assumption, the following design strategies were applied: pure forms and straight lines; geometric rigor; compaction of internal spaces; streamlined masonry; standardization of openings and structural system. In this conjecture, the final result of this research sought to contribute, therefore, with solutions that can be implemented by architects and designers, who approach the theme in question applied to the design sphere.
