CARE UNIT: THE CONSTRUCTIVE SYSTEM AS A SUSTAINABLE RESPONSE
Hospital Architecture. Constructive System. Bioclimatic criteria.
The present work was based on the production of a project for a Care Unit in the city of Natal / RN. The proposal was based on a constructive system concerned with the reduction of waste and mitigation of the environmental impact caused by the building. To achieve this objective, the system appropriated bioclimatic criteria to promote better use of the conditions of the place and the rationalization of construction processes through tectonics and modulation. Among the applied methodologies were developed theoretical-methodological-referential studies on the subject, which allowed to establish project directives, such as: the development of the building on stilts, respecting, thus, the natural profile of the terrain; the insertion of a central courtyard as a way to favor the ventilation and natural lighting of the surroundings; and the application of a permeable envelope as a protective barrier of the building. The studies developed and the discussions presented promoted an awakening to issues that are usually forgotten in the practice of professional practice, enriching the project methods present in the daily life of architectural offices, thus favoring the relationship between the individual and the environment and demonstrating a concern with natural resources applied in construction.
