This work aims to identify the workforce sizing practices, considering the Institutional Strategic Planning (2016-2025) of UFCA. In organizations, this is a current topic that aims to measure the contribution of people management practices to organizational results. The study is descriptive in nature, with a qualitative approach, having primary and secondary data from various sources of information such as legislation, reports, UFCA Portal, document sharing sites and semi-structured interviews with UFCA's strategic managers. In order to understand how the practices approach or distance themselves from the dimensioning of the workforce, both the practices of the people management system and the strategic objectives presented in the University's Strategic Map regarding People Management will be analyzed.
