The outlined research proposal aims to analyze the adherence of risk management instruments and mechanisms used by the Regional Electoral Courts in the northeast region of the country to the 'Three Lines' model of the International Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA), to support the decision-making process institutional, proposing, at the end of the work, points for improvement. The research is characterized as qualitative, with documentary research and bibliographical research as technical procedures, based on the collection of public data available on the websites of the Institutions studied, especially on transparency portals. In relation to the objective of the study, it is a descriptive research. As for the approach method, the study is deductive based on documentary analysis. As expected results of the confrontation between scientific theory and professional practice, the study seeks to contribute to the improvement of public administration, especially in the context of Electoral Justice, as it aims to analyze the situation in the institutions researched and make recommendations that make it possible to boost evolution of risk management in the public service, aiming at the effective implementation of planned public policies. Some data and information collected in advance made it possible to advance in meeting part of the research objectives, indicating a certain diversity of existing instruments and mechanisms, the reality of which will be confirmed at the end of the research.
