University Management. Institutional Assessment. Egress Management. Egress. UFCA
This research has the general objective of evaluating the management process of monitoring graduates of UFCA graduate courses, with a focus on awareness, structuring, repercussion, and relationship. To accomplish the general objective, it has the following specific objectives: present a management overview of the university and its processes; check the degree of importance imputed to actions and strategies by the perspective of academic managers; identify obstacles and suggestions for an efficient management process of monitoring graduates in the perception of academic managers; and propose strategic actions to improve the management of graduates. It presents a discussion and theoretical foundation with a focus on public policies of educational evaluation and on the importance of managing graduates for the quality of higher education. And it will use a model of managing graduates for Brazil’s post-graduation programs, proposed in Cabral's (2021) thesis, as a guide to evaluate the management process of monitoring graduates of UFCA. Methodologically, the research is characterized as evaluative and descriptive, assuming an analytic quali-quantitative approach. It adopts the study case as a research strategy, and it will use documental research, interviews with managers of the Pro-Rector of Graduation, and surveys (surveys) with the application of questionnaires to graduate course coordinators at the investigated university. The results will be examined and interpreted based on documental analysis, Descriptive Statistics, and content analysis. Finally, in the light of the theoretical foundation, logical and empirical evidence, and insights, it will seek to answer the objectives of the study. The achievement of the objectives of this study will provide information and recommendations for improving the management of graduates with the potential of contributing to improving the indicators assigned in the Institutional Evaluation.
