OPEN PARLIAMENT: Active transparency of parliamentary activity in Brazilian Legislative Assemblies
Transparency; Electronic portal; Democracy.
This dissertation provides an analysis of the active transparency of parliamentary activity in the Brazilian Legislative Assemblies. Grounded in the importance of effective public disclosure of active transparency data for democratic consolidation, this work examines the websites of the 26 state Legislative Houses in the country, using indicators from the Legislative Portals Transparency Index (LPTI) as a tool to identify the presence and absence of essential information for the public regarding the performance of Brazilian state deputies. This is an applied, exploratory, and descriptive research, employing documentary analysis and both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Ultimately, it proposes the presentation of an illustrative panel on legislative transparency in the Brazilian Legislative Assemblies, using the Microsoft Power BI platform.
